Very Important: You must read this whole thing so you understand how this online community site works. This is not an ordinary social network like MySpace, but a transcendental spiritual community. It operates by very different rules than any other site. You must be an adult of legal age in the jurisdiction where your are located.

Before you begin to explore our community site, we strongly urge you to review the material on our Main Site to get an idea of our spiritual philosophy and practices. Without that background you may not understand many of the things you encounter in this section of the site.

The purpose of this community site is to develop our spiritual community. This site is a school, and everyone here is a student; some are more advanced than others. The only reason to be a member of this site is to progressively develop in the Esoteric Teaching and advance in devotional service. We have some very specific ways to measure your progress.

When you first register you are granted a trial membership, with minimal privileges, until you sign up for the Bhakta Degree Program. At first you will not be able to post, but only read posts by other users. This is so that you become accustomed to our standard protocols. As you update your profile and browse the site you accumulate Karma Points (good Karma). The more Karma Points you accumulate, the more privileges you will receive. In the event that you violate the terms of using the site, the Administrators may dock your Karma Points score and you may lose privileges. You can read more details about Karma Points here.

If your account remains inactive, we may delete it without further notice. After registering successfully you MUST:

• complete your profile within 30 days
• actively post to the site within 60 days
• sign up for a course within 90 days
• make acceptable progress on course within 120 days

If you do not do all these things, your account may be suspended or deleted without further notice to conserve community resources. Note that course fees are religious donations and as such, if your account is deleted for inactivity they are non-refundable.

Why this Forum Exists

• As noted in our First-time Visitors page, Esoteric Teaching is a serious spiritual school. Therefore this forum is only for serious students of the Esoteric Teaching of the Vedas. It is not a debate forum, for personal issues, speculation or light contemplation, or presentation of unrelated subjects. This is not a venue for posting random links to other sites, personal issues or speculative musings unrelated to the Esoteric Teaching. Off-topic posts will be deleted, and users who abuse the forums will have their posting and/or membership privileges revoked.
• These Forums are designed as an aid for self-study of the Esoteric Teaching. They are only for use of students of the Esoteric Teaching as presented by Śrīla Prabhupāda and Master Teacher David Bruce Hughes (respectfully addressed as Bābājī by his students and disciples).
• Before you post for the first time, you must edit your profile to include all the information about you. That way we can understand who the question is coming from.
• If you find any of the courses or terminology confusing, you may post your questions on the Forums. New students should post questions on the Kurukṣetra Group only. Questions will be answered by senior students under the supervision of Bābājī, who will occasionally comment as his valuable time permits.
• Here you have the opportunity to be part of a unique international community of serious spiritual students, studying together to advance their spiritual growth and their understanding of the Absolute Truth under the guidance and supervision of a highly qualified, self-realized guru. Students and devotees are extremely fortunate to have this community and the guidance of Bābājī. We are here to work together in accomplishing what is expected of us from Lord Kṛṣṇa, and nothing more.
• Questions about the material of the Esoteric Teaching are welcome, but the material itself, the ancient message of the Vedas, is not up for debate. For those seeking to test their religious philosophy against the Esoteric Teaching to see if it is worth pursuing further, please read the introductory materials listed under How to Get Started.
• If you don't like what we are doing, please keep your comments to yourself and go somewhere that meets your expectations. Our mission is very clearly established, and posting critical, argumentative or offensive comments will not accomplish anything except to get your posting privileges canceled and land you into spiritual difficulties.
